Communion Instruction - Thursdays
from Jan. 28 - Feb. 11.
This class is offered for any child 4th grade or higher
that has not previously attended communion instruction.
These classes will be given Thursday afternoons from
3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the ALC Conference Room
beginning January 28th & ending Thursday, February
11th.

News -The ALC women will meet next on Thursday,
February 11, in the church conference room, 2:00p.m.
All women are invited to attend!
•Children
Sing -.The 2nd - 6th grade youth will sing
during worship on Sunday, February 14th. Please have
your child/children to the church basement by 9:15
a.m.

Wednesday - Lent Begins - Wednesday, February
17 -
This service guides us in remembrance of our mortality
and need for God through the imposition of ashes and
celebration of Holy Communion.

Services -Let
Midweek Lenten suppers and Evening Prayer be a part
of your spiritual journey beginning February 24th.
Come each Wednesday, 6:00p.m., for fellowship around
a meal and then
stay for song, the Word, and prayer at 7:00p.m.

Gathering - Sunday,
February 21
After
Worship, Bishop David deFreese will be responding
to a Q & A session, so those who are wondering
why there is a conflict and what all this means for
the life of American Lutheran Church, can gain information.
We will share in lunch, then representatives from
two alternative Lutheran organizations: Lutheran Congregations
in Mission for Christ (LCMC) and Lutheran CORE (suggested
by some of our members) will also speak about their
ministries, purpose, and response to the ELCA decision.

Meeting
- Sunday, February 28
A special congregational meeting will be held to discern
the direction the congregation will continue, in our
relationship with the ELCA.
