Pastor Steve, and his family, are originally from south-central Wisconsin. Steve and his wife, Korey, both graduated from Wartburg Theological Seminary in May of 2016. Prior to seminary, Steve worked in drywall construction for more than ten years. In late-2009 and early-2010, through a number of experiences and conversations, Steve felt like God was calling him to do something different with his life. Initially resistant to the idea of pastoral ministry, he eventually conceded that was, indeed, where the Holy Spirit was leading him.
Steve’s passion in ministry is for developing and leading a faith community into a rhythmic life of prayer, worship, fellowship, and service, which helps draw us into deeper, more intimate relationship with Jesus and with one another. This life together will be centered in Christ, dedicated to the formation of disciples, rooted in place, and committed to communal discernment of the movement of the Holy Spirit in our community.
Steve loves spending time with Korey, and their four kids, particularly playing at parks or going on nature hikes. He also enjoys playing basketball and golf. Steve loves watching sports, and is an avid Wisconsin Badgers fan.
